About Me

Michaela L. Carson…

…the Christ-Follower

Michaela has walked with God for as long as she can remember, being saved at a very young age. As a young teen, she surrendered control of her life, and Jesus became not only her Savior but her Lord. Over the past several decades, she has continued to grow in her faith, uncovering lies and strongholds and replacing them with the truth of God’s Word. She now considers herself a “recovering perfectionist” and strives to live each day as a reflection of His light in a dark world.

…the Author

The dream of being an author was born when Michaela was only nine and won a school-wide poetry contest. She pursued her passion for creative writing during high school, taking six creative writing classes and driving her teacher crazy with her conviction only to read and write YA fiction. In her adult career in Communications, she wrote marketing material for multiple organizations. Later, she was editor and writer for The Epistle, a First Presbyterian Church of Bonita Springs publication. Her first book, Deeper, an Interactive Journey to Spiritual Growth, was published in 2022. She has five projects slated to release in 2024–three small group discussion guides, her next book, and a spiritual growth journal.

…the Coach

With over 30 years in Christian ministry, Michaela earned her Professional Life Coaching certification from the AACC at the beginning of 2023. Her diverse roles in ministry provided her with multiple lenses through which to view discipleship, and her career in communications gave her the tools and training to find creative solutions for those times when you feel stuck, aren’t growing, or just need a fresh perspective. She strongly desires to help others experience deeper growth in their walk with Jesus by transparently sharing her own spiritual journey.

…the Human

Born in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, Michaela now lives in too-sunny Florida. Her most incredible adventures are traveling with her husband and frequent trips to West Virginia to escape the heat and visit her daughter and soon-to-be son-in-law. She adores dogs but doesn’t have any because she never wants to say “goodbye” again.
